MATCH RACE AGAINST ME !

Welcome to this new section on Allstox. Ever wondered who the drivers would want to matchrace against ? Here you will find out. We will be asking a whole host of different drivers from the world of stox racing who they would want to race against. There is no criteria at all, so they can be current, retired, from any formula, short or long track, anything goes if the drivers want them in thier match race, but they only get five choices......

TODD JONES, young saloon stox Champion who has made a big impact in the saloons this year, and proudly carries the ALLSTOX sign on his car. Who would he matchrace against....

1. Junior Wainman as I think he’s been consistently the best driver in Formula One’s in recent years. Someone for young drivers to look up to.

2. Mick Sworder is another hard hitting F2 driver I like watching. Sometimes the way he throws the car round the bends without a care in the world looks awesome.

3. George Turiccki because he’s done really well in the last few years, and I think he would give us a good race. Someone that has a lot of talent and his potential in oval racing is what he makes it.

4. Dan Johnson looks very good for his age, and the experience he’s already had in F1’s is going to help him in years to come. A future World Champion no doubt. Who knows, maybe one day I'll race with him in the big league!

George Turickki. Current F2 young gun who stepped into the formula and created a mini whirlwind last year. So who we he have a match race against ???

1. Todd Jones - I have known him for a few years now. Reason for Todd is that I’ve always known him to have a certain instinct on the track. He can read races well, he's a thinker as he’s shown in his time in the National Saloons. I think just the pair of us on track would be entertaining, although I’d be happy to swap cars for it (best of 3) but I heard he might be worried about breaking our car. That wouldn’t happen now would it Todd!

2. Frankie Wainman Junior - What can you say that’s not already been said about him. He is Stock Car Racing through and through. I know drivers who look up to Frank’s achievements and his dedication to his sport. When I get a chance I usually watch him and the Smith’s battling away.

3. Gordon Moodie - because he is still (I think) the man to beat in Formula 2’s. Gordon's good to speak with and gives me and my Dad advice about various things really. He's someone I watch when Im not racing in his heats.

4. Mick Sworder, because I think he would be the most entertaining out the lot of us! You cannot have any Match Race without Mick featured in it. I wonder how many people would pay to see just Sworder and Junior Wainman go at it. I think it could be very interesting to watch something like that. It’s one of those moments where it cannot looked partly staged. It has to be all or nothing with those two, same with Moodie and Frankie? It’s kind of happening now, what with the F1 Qualifiers which Gordon has raced at. And yet again, Gordon and Mick, good friends off the track, but on the track it’s fierce racing.

PAUL HINES F1 259.

1. Jenson Button. " Would love to show him what real racing is all about"
2. Tony Stewart. " Brilliant racer. Can adapt to all forms of racing and would love to race against him"
3. The winner of a forum competition to race in my match race. ( Specially if some people won it ! )
4. The late Colin Mcrae. Really could drive anything, such a shame he lost his life.
5. My Dad. " Cos that would be really funny ! "

Thanks Paul, just hope you wouldn't have been beaten by choice 5 !!!
