So here we are, just a few weeks away from the World Final at Kings Lynn. Last sunday (9th sept) it was the last chanche for the field boys to qualify for a place on the grid. The meeting was at St.Maarten and although H29 Durk Greidanus had already qualified by being well on top of the points charts, it was the battle for the remaining places. Form 2nd to 7th place was very close in points so it was all open prior to the race. It was an hard afair, especialy the final where cars where al over the place and crashing out, again that man on a mission Durk Greidanus won it and that was his eight final this year! Axel Nijs was flying al day only to be spun out again in the final but he did a good job by going from 5th to 3th in the points and with it securing his place on the grid.

Top 5 from the ACON: Top 5 from Venray:
29 Durk Greidanus
3 Ouwe Bijlsma
32 Axel Nijs
93 John de Buck
76 Wierd Gietema
217 Ron Kroonder
240 Henk Jan Ronitz
007 Dave Schaap
247 Gary Castell
22 Louw Wobbes.

At this moment I don't know weather these drivers will take the invitation or not, rumours are that Easy #3 Ouwe Bijlsma has withdrawn.

Thers is alot of interest from the Dutch fans and drivers this year to come over and my opinion is that it is a shame that only 20 drivers are invited to race on the Friday and Saturday at the Lynn. For such a big weekend i would say at least 30 Dutchies and 60 Uk drivers!

The Dutch National Points

After 40 years of using National gradings in the Uk Frits and I thought it was about time to get it started in Holland for field F1 stockcars. So in 2005 we made a plan and a grading system similar to the one in the Uk and we started the system on paper only for 2006 to see if it could work. We where well happy about the result and decided it was worth trying to make happen in 2007. In the winter prior to this season we tried to convince al the different organisations that this was the way to go for the future, from the 5 big organisations 3 decided to work with the National gradings, others stayed with there own system unfortunately. The good news is that a new shale track is being build at this moment (more on that later) and they go with the "new" system to. So now the season is well underway and the first grading period has come to an end we are well pleased with the way it is unvolving. We hope that after this season the fans, drivers and organisations can all say that this is the way to do it and see that F1 stockcar racing is al about the fast drivers at the back of the grid working hard to get to the front! If not, well . we tried didn't we.. So some people think the points table on here isn't official and maybe there right but we don't have an organisation like brisca in Holland, infact every organisation can do wat ever they want. So I think it's quite official in that way! So this gives you an good indication about the top boyz from Holland, enjoy...

H29 Acon Points Winner

After round five from the six meetings planned at the St.maarten oval this season mr Durk Greidanus (29) won the ACON points Championship. Durk won the first 3 meeting finals at St.Maarten and by keeping his head cool at the Dutch Open he secured the points championship with some margin over Ouwe bijlsma (3). With a total of 132 points he had 51 points advantage over Ouwe (3) and with a max score of 32 points it was in the bag! So this automatically means we will see Durk back on the World Final grid in september at Kings Lynn. The other two remaining places for the WF is still wide open with the top six drivers all being very close in the points. So it will be a hard battle at the St.maarten remainder again at the 9th september for that last to places on the grid

This will be the first proper shale track in Holland and is being build in Emmen which is near the German Border. It will be an 330 metre long track with steel plate fence. The track will have lights so racing on Saturday nights can be possible. The plan is to do 8 meetings in 2008. Formulas will be F1 plus F2 and a support formula which can be different one each time. The track is build on the inside of a motocross track so as you can see on the pictures a few big tunnels where necessary to get access to the oval.
